You can cancel your NoqtaShop plan yourself, on the Subscription page, whenever you like. Cancelling stops the renewal: you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and then your store moves to the free plan. Nothing is deleted. This article covers what to consider first, how to cancel a paid plan or a free trial, how to change your mind, and what happens after.
The store owner can cancel. Another staff member can do it only if their role includes Manage subscription. See Staff roles: what each one can see and do.
Before you cancel: a cheaper plan instead
Cancelling does not close your store. When your plan ends, your store moves to Free: it stays online, takes cash-on-delivery orders in one language, and costs nothing, with no time limit. If what you want is to pay less, a cheaper plan may suit you better.
| If you want to | Do this | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Stop paying altogether | Cancel, as below — or select Switch to Free on the Free card, which does the same | Your plan stays until the end of the period, then your store moves to Free. |
| Pay less | On a cheaper plan’s card, select Switch on and the date | The cheaper plan starts at the end of the period. See Upgrade or change your plan. |
| Take a break for a season | Cancel, and move up again when you are back | Your products, orders and design are kept, and your storefront stays online on Free. |
Cancel your plan
- In the side menu, under Administration, open Subscription.
- At the bottom of the page, select Cancel subscription. A window opens: Cancel your subscription?
- Read it. It says until when you keep your plan, for example Growth stays until Nov 1, 2026, then your store moves to Free. Nothing more is charged., and lists under On … we switch off: what Free does not include.
- If you like, tell us why under Why are you cancelling? (optional). It helps us improve NoqtaShop.
- Select Cancel subscription to confirm, or Go back to change nothing.
Cancelled. Your plan stays until the date appears. Your card will not be charged again, and we send you an email and a bell notice with the date.
The button is there only on a plan you pay by card. Free has nothing to cancel, and a plan arranged with our team is ended by our team: see below. While a renewal payment has failed, the button is not shown either: the notice at the top offers Move to Free now instead, which ends the plan at once without charging you. See A payment failed.
Cancel a free trial
During a free trial, the button reads Cancel trial — you will not be charged.
- At the bottom of the Subscription page, select Cancel trial — you will not be charged.
- Read the window, Cancel your free trial?: Your free trial ends on …. You will not be charged, and your store moves to Free., with what Free switches off on that day.
- If you like, give a reason, then select Cancel trial.
Your trial carries on until its last day, with every feature of the plan, and nothing is ever charged for it. Until then the plan card shows Cancelling and Ends on the trial’s last day · then Free. Three days before that day, the email and the bell remind you that nothing will be charged and that your store moves to Free. See How the free trial works.
A plan arranged with our team
A plan arranged with our team, such as Enterprise, runs to its Paid until date and has no cancel button. To end it sooner, or to extend it, open a support ticket. We tell you, and our team, 7 days before it ends. If it is not extended, your store moves to Free on that date, as below.
Open until the end of the paid period
Cancelling does not close anything straight away. Until the end of the period you paid for:
- Your storefront keeps selling. Customers can browse and order as before.
- Your console works in full. Every feature of your plan stays on, and you can still use this month’s AI credits.
- Nothing more is charged. You have already paid for this period. Under our terms (opens in a new tab), we do not refund a part-used period unless the law where you are requires it.
Your plan card shows the cancellation at once:
| On the page | What it means |
|---|---|
| Cancelling | The badge beside your plan’s name. |
| Ends on a date · then Free | The last day of your plan. It replaces Renews on. |
| The notice at the top | Your … plan ends on …, then your store moves to Free. Nothing is deleted., with Keep my subscription. |
While your plan is cancelling, every plan button is greyed out with the hint Keep your subscription to change plan, Switch to Free and the billing cycle button included; only Talk to us on Enterprise still works. To move to another plan instead, select Keep my subscription first, then change plan. If you cancelled more than a week before the end, we remind you by email and in the bell a week before it. A cancel made in the last week gets no second reminder: the email and the bell notice you had when you cancelled already give the date.
Your invoices stay under Manage billing, before and after your plan ends. See See your plan, usage and billing.
Changed your mind: keep your subscription
Until the end date, select Keep my subscription in the notice at the top of the page. It takes effect at once, with no window to confirm: Your subscription continues. appears, the notice goes, the plan card shows Active and Renews on again, and the plan buttons work again. Nothing is charged until your usual renewal date.
You can also keep a cancelled free trial the same way: the card shows Free trial again, and the trial becomes your paid plan when it ends.
After the end date, you can come back at any time: on Free, every paid plan’s card offers to move up. See Upgrade or change your plan.
After that: your store moves to Free
When your plan ends, your store moves to the free plan by itself:
- Your storefront stays open, on Free.
- What Free does not include is switched off: card payments (cash on delivery stays on), storefront languages beyond one, staff accounts beyond yours, and your own domain if it is live. A paused staff member who is signed in is signed out straight away. Other features Free leaves out show a padlock.
- Nothing is deleted. Your products, orders, customers, design and settings are all kept. Move up again, and what was switched off comes back on.
We tell you what changed by email and in the bell, and for 30 days a notice on the Subscription page lists it. In Plan history, the plan you cancelled reads Cancelled.
Moving to Free is not closing your account. To close your store for good and have its data deleted, open a support ticket. Export anything you want to keep first.
