Upgrade or change your plan

Move up and the new plan starts at once for the difference; move down at the end of the paid period. Switch billing cycle, or undo a booked change.

Last updated

You compare the plans and change yours on the Subscription page. Moving up starts the new plan at once, and you pay only the difference for the rest of the period. Moving down happens at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep your current plan until then. This article walks through each change, what the console shows you before anything happens, and how to undo a change you booked.

The store owner can change the plan. Another staff member can do it only if their role includes Manage subscription. See Staff roles: what each one can see and do.

The plans side by side

In the side menu, open Subscription and scroll to Plans. Every plan has a card, from Free to Enterprise.

Every plan side by side. The button on each card depends on the plan you are on now.

Each card shows, from top to bottom:

  • The plan’s name, and Recommended on Growth — unless Growth is already your plan.
  • A one-line description of what the plan is for.
  • The price for the cycle chosen above the cards, with an estimate in dinars under it. Free says Free; Enterprise says Priced on request. On Annual, each card also says how much a year saves, for example Saves $84.00 a year.
  • A short list of what this plan adds over the plan before it.
  • 14-day free trial on Starter and Growth, only where you can still have one. See How the free trial works.
  • The button, which depends on where you are now:
On the cardMeaning
Your planThe plan you are on. On a paid plan it carries the button that changes your billing cycle: see Monthly or annual.
UpgradeA plan above yours. It starts at once.
Switch on a dateA plan below yours. It starts at the end of the period you have paid for, or of your trial.
Switch to FreeFree. On a paid plan or a trial, your plan stays until the end of the period, then your store moves to Free.
Start 14-day free trial or Choose planYour store has no paid plan yet: you pay on Stripe’s secure page. See From Free, or a store that has not paid.
Talk to usEnterprise, which is arranged with our team rather than bought online.
Not sold on this cycleThe plan has no price on the cycle chosen above the cards. Choose the other cycle.

On a plan you already have, every button opens a window that says exactly what will happen — the date, the amount, and anything that is switched off — before anything changes. Nothing happens until you confirm. A button that starts your first paid plan opens Stripe’s secure page instead, which states the charge before you pay.

On Growth, billed monthly: a cheaper plan is booked for a date, a dearer one starts now.

The five cards

What each card lists, from the cheapest up. Prices are in US dollars.

PlanPriceWhat the card lists
FreeFree, with no time limit, and no card neededUnlimited products, 1 staff account, 1 GB of storage, 1 storefront language
Starter$19.00 a month, or $180.00 a year (saves $48.00)Up to 3 staff accounts, 5 GB of storage, 2 storefront languages, your own domain, discount codes
Growth$35.00 a month, or $336.00 a year (saves $84.00)Recommended. Up to 10 staff accounts, 25 GB of storage, all storefront languages, card payments, no NoqtaShop badge
Business$79.00 a month, or $756.00 a year (saves $192.00). No free trial: charged from the first day.Unlimited staff accounts, 100 GB of storage, and 500 AI photo enhancements, 100 AI storefront generations and 40,000 AI translation credits a month
EnterprisePriced on requestUnlimited storage, AI photo enhancement, AI storefront generation, AI translation and AI writing, and terms agreed with our team.

Here is each card as a store paying monthly for Growth sees it:

Free: the plan every store can fall back to, at no charge.
A cheaper plan than Growth: it is booked for the end of the paid month.
Your own plan’s card: the button under Your plan changes only the billing cycle.
A dearer plan: Upgrade starts it today.
Enterprise is arranged with our team, so its button starts a conversation, not a payment.

The cards keep their lists short. The comparison table below lists everything each plan includes.

The full comparison

Under the cards, Compare every plan lists every feature for every plan, in six groups: Your store, Selling tools, Product tools, Reporting, AI assistance, and Trial and support.

Every feature, every plan. Your plan’s column is shaded.

How to read it:

  • A tick means the plan includes the feature. A dash means it does not.
  • A figure is a limit or a monthly allowance, for example 5 GB or 3,000 credits a month. Unlimited means no ceiling.
  • A grey line under a row name explains it, for example Cash on delivery works on every plan. under Card payments.
  • Your plan’s column is shaded and headed Your plan.

The same comparison, with the plan each feature starts on, is in Plans and what each includes.

Move up: the new plan starts at once

On a plan you pay by card, Upgrade moves you to a higher plan straight away. You pay only the difference for the rest of your current billing period, today. From your next renewal date you pay the new plan’s price.

Choose Annual, select Upgrade on Business, read what is charged today, and confirm.
  1. In the side menu, open Subscription.
  2. Under Plans, choose Monthly or Annual for the new plan.
  3. On the plan you want, select Upgrade. A window opens, headed Move up to and the plan’s name.
  4. Read it. It says what we charge today and what you pay from when, for example Business starts now. We charge $25.55 today for the rest of this billing period, then $79.00 monthly from Nov 1, 2026.
  5. Select Upgrade to confirm, or Go back to change nothing.
Before anything changes: today’s charge, and the price from your next renewal.

When the charge goes through, Your plan is now and the new plan’s name appears, and the new plan’s features unlock straight away. If the card is declined, nothing changes: you stay on your plan, and the message says Your card was declined, so nothing has changed. Update your card under Manage billing and try again.

Onto the other billing cycle

Moving up onto the other billing cycle keeps your billing day, the day your plan was first paid for: the first full charge at the new price falls on that day, on the date the window gives. See Monthly or annual. From monthly billing to a yearly plan, it reads, for example, Business starts now, billed annually. We charge $456.06 today for the rest of this billing period, after taking off the unused part of your current plan, then $756.00 annually from Jun 1, 2027. The amount charged today covers the time from today to that date, less what is left of your current plan, so it is less than a full year’s price when that date is less than a year away.

When you move up from a plan you pay yearly to one billed monthly, the unused part of your year is taken off, and the window adds: Your unused time is credited to your account and used on your next invoices. If the unused time is worth more than the rest of this billing period, the window says so instead of naming an amount: Business starts now, billed monthly. Nothing is charged today: the unused part of your current plan covers the rest of this billing period. Then $79.00 monthly from Nov 4, 2026. The rest stays on your account as credit and comes off your next invoices. It is not paid back to your card.

From a yearly plan to a monthly one: the unused part of the year becomes credit for your next invoices.

During a free trial

  • To Growth from a Starter trial, your trial carries on, because Growth has a trial of its own: Your free trial continues until …; nothing is charged today. When the trial ends, you pay the new plan’s price.
  • To Business, which has no free trial, your trial ends at once and the first month is charged today. Your billing month then starts from today.
Growth has a trial too: the trial runs to its last day, now on Growth, and nothing is charged today.
No trial on Business: the trial ends, the first month is charged today, and it renews a month later.

When your bank asks you to confirm

Some banks ask you to confirm a payment, for example with a code sent to your phone. When yours does, Stripe’s page for the payment opens as soon as you select Upgrade in the window. Confirm the payment there, as your bank asks. Your new plan starts once the payment goes through.

If you come back to the console without confirming, your plan has not changed yet. The Subscription page then shows a notice, Your bank needs you to confirm the payment for …. Your plan has not changed yet., with the last day to do it:

Waiting on the bank: you are still on your old plan until the payment is confirmed.
  1. In the notice, select Confirm payment. Stripe’s page for the payment opens again; confirm the payment there.
  2. Come back to Subscription. Your new plan shows as soon as the payment goes through.

If you do not confirm by the date in the notice, the change is dropped and nothing is charged. To drop it yourself, select Cancel this upgrade. While a payment waits to be confirmed, the other plan buttons are greyed out with the hint Confirm or cancel the waiting payment first. Switch to Free and Cancel subscription still work.

Move down: at the end of the period you have paid for

A plan below yours starts at the end of the period you have paid for — or at the end of your free trial. You keep everything your current plan includes until then, and nothing is refunded or charged now.

  1. In the side menu, open Subscription.
  2. Under Plans, choose Monthly or Annual for the new plan.
  3. On the cheaper plan, select Switch on and the date. A window opens, headed Switch to and the plan’s name.
  4. Read it. It says when the new plan starts and its price, for example Starter starts on Nov 1, 2026, then $19.00 monthly. You keep Growth until then., and lists what is switched off on that date under On … we switch off:.
  5. Select Switch plan to book it, or Go back.
Booked for the end of the month, with what the cheaper plan switches off then.

Booked. Your plan changes on the date appears, and a notice stays at the top of the page until then: Moves to Starter (monthly) on …. You keep Growth until then. Your plan card keeps showing your current plan, with Renews on, the date the change happens, and the price you pay from then: Starter’s, on its billing cycle.

You keep your plan until the end of the month. Changed your mind? Cancel this change.

Changed your mind

Until the date, select Cancel this change in the notice. The change is cancelled. appears, and your plan carries on as before.

You can still move up, or cancel, while a move down is booked. The window then says This replaces your scheduled move to …, and confirming it drops the booked move.

A move up replaces the move down you had booked. The window says so before you confirm.

Monthly or annual

The Monthly and Annual switch above the cards changes the prices the cards show, and the cycle a new plan is billed on. Save up to 21% beside it is the most a year saves on any plan. To change the billing cycle of the plan you are already on, use the button on your own plan’s card:

On your plan’s cardWhen it happens
Switch to annual billingNow. You pay today for the time up to your first yearly renewal, less the unused part of this month, and you save on the year.
Switch to monthly billing on a dateAt the end of the year you have paid for. You stay on annual billing until then.

Each opens a window with the amount and the date before anything changes; select Switch billing to confirm.

Monthly to annual: charged today, and the date of the first yearly renewal.

Your billing day does not move when you switch to annual billing. The year is counted from the day your plan was first paid for, so the first yearly renewal falls on that date, as the window says, and not a year from today. Layal’s card was first charged on Jun 1: its store renews on the 1st of each month, and its first yearly renewal is on Jun 1, 2027. Today’s charge covers the time from today to that renewal, less the unused part of this month. If the unused part covers it all, the window says Nothing is charged today instead.

On a plan you already pay yearly, the cheaper plans read Switch on the end of your paid year, and your own card offers monthly billing from that day:

On annual billing, every change down waits for the end of the year you paid for.
Annual to monthly: nothing is charged now, and the year you paid for runs to its end.

During a free trial, the cycle changes straight away, whichever way, and your trial carries on: the new cycle’s price is what is charged when the trial ends.

Monthly prices. The badge beside the switch shows the most a year can save.

What happens to features the new plan leaves out

When your store moves to a plan that does not include something, it is switched off on the day the change happens, and nothing is deleted. The window lists it before you confirm, and the email we send on the day lists it again; the bell tells you that your plan changed. Move back up, and it is switched back on.

What the window listsWhat happens
Card payments (cash on delivery stays on)Card payments stop; cash on delivery stays on.
Storefront languages: and the languagesThe languages the new plan does not include leave your storefront. Their translations are kept.
Default language becomes a languageIf your default language is not included, your storefront opens in another one.
Staff accounts paused: and the namesStaff beyond the new plan’s limit cannot sign in. Anyone of them who is signed in is signed out straight away. Their accounts and roles are kept.
Your own domain: and the domainOnly a domain that is live. Your store answers on its NoqtaShop address again. The domain stays connected for when you move back up.

Everything else a plan does not include shows a padlock, and what you made with it is kept. Here is what changes, from the top of the ladder down.

Below Business:

  • Your own roles. Roles you made stay, and the staff who hold them keep every permission they give. You can open a role but not change or delete it: it says Custom roles are not included in your plan. Staff with this role keep every permission it gives. See Add a custom role.
  • The audit log. The page reads The audit log is on a higher plan. Your store’s changes are still recorded, and the whole history is there when you move back up.
  • Priority support. New tickets are no longer priority. A ticket you opened before the change stays priority. See Open a support ticket.

Below Growth:

  • Gift cards. Customers can no longer pay with a gift card, and you cannot issue one. Your cards and their balances are kept.
  • Loyalty points. Customers stop earning and spending points, and points leave checkout and their account pages. Their balances are kept for when you move back up. See Reward customers with loyalty points.
  • Newsletter campaigns. The Campaigns page reads Campaigns are on a higher plan, with your campaigns listed under Past campaigns. A campaign you had scheduled does not go out: at its time it moves back to your drafts, and you can unschedule or delete it before then.
  • Low-stock alert emails stop.
  • The NoqtaShop badge comes back to your storefront’s footer.

Below Starter:

  • Discount codes. Customers can no longer enter a discount code at checkout. Your codes are kept.
  • Abandoned-cart reminders stop. See How abandoned-cart recovery works.
  • Returns. Customers no longer see the button to request a return on their order page.
  • The Journal. The Journal page reads The journal is on a higher plan. Your posts are kept, off your storefront, and come back as they were when you move up.
  • The wishlist leaves your storefront. Your setting is kept for when you move back up.
  • Product video. Videos you added stay on your products and keep playing, and you can still remove them, but you cannot add or replace one.
  • Product search details and product history. The search title and description you wrote stay on your storefront, but you cannot edit them, and you cannot open the history.
  • Bulk edits and CSV. On the products list, Import CSV, Export CSV and the buttons that change several products at once show a padlock, and so do the buttons that update several orders at once. See Update several orders at once.
  • Sales and profit figures. Money figures on the dashboard read On a higher plan. Orders and new customers are still counted.

On every plan:

  • AI tools. The new plan’s monthly allowances apply from the change. Tools it does not include show a padlock.
  • Storage. If you use more than the new plan allows, nothing is deleted, but you cannot upload more until you are under it.

For every feature and the plan it starts on, see Plans and what each includes and Why does a feature show a padlock?

Moving to Free

Free takes cash-on-delivery orders only, sells in one language, and has one staff account. It costs nothing and has no time limit.

  • From a plan you pay by card, select Switch to Free on the Free card. It works like cancelling: Growth stays until …, then your store moves to Free. Nothing more is charged. See Cancel your subscription.
  • From a free trial, the same button cancels the trial. Nothing is charged, and your store moves to Free when the trial ends.
  • After a failed payment, Move to Free now in the notice — or Switch to Free on the Free card — ends your plan straight away, without charging you. See A payment failed.
  • From a store that has not paid yet, Switch to Free moves you now: Your store moves to Free now. Nothing is charged. See Pay for your plan at sign-up.

Each window lists what Free switches off. Nothing is deleted.

From Free, or a store that has not paid

A store with no paid plan — on Free, or a sign-up that has not paid — pays for its first plan on Stripe’s secure page.

A store with no paid plan pays on Stripe’s page. The trial is offered where you can still have one.
  1. Under Plans, choose Monthly or Annual.
  2. On the plan you want, select Start 14-day free trial, Upgrade or Choose plan. Stripe’s secure payment page opens in the same tab.
  3. Read the line above Stripe’s pay button. It names your plan, the price and the date:
    • With a free trial: Your card is saved today and nothing is charged for 14 days. Cancel before … under Subscription in your console and you pay nothing; otherwise we charge … from … and Growth renews monthly until you cancel.
    • Without one: You are charged … today, and Business renews monthly until you cancel under Subscription in your console.
  4. Pay, or start the trial. Stripe brings you back to your Subscription page, which says Confirming your payment… until Stripe confirms, then shows your new plan.

If you leave Stripe’s page without paying, the page says Checkout was cancelled. Nothing was charged.

The trial is offered once per person and per card. A store that has had a trial, or pays for a plan, is charged on the day. See How the free trial works.

A store that already pays by card is never sent to Stripe’s page to change plan: it changes plan here, with Upgrade or Switch on a date.

Enterprise: talk to us

Enterprise is arranged with our team: everything in Business, unlimited storage and AI tools, dedicated support, and contract terms agreed with you. It cannot be bought from the console.

On the Enterprise card, select Talk to us. Your email app opens a new message to our team, with NoqtaShop Enterprise as the subject. Tell us about your store, and we agree the scope, the terms and the price with you.

A plan arranged with our team is changed by our team: its card on the Subscription page offers only Talk to us, which opens the Support page, and every plan card shows Talk to us too.
