The sign-up on noqtashop.com checks what you type and tells you, in one red line, when something stops it. This article lists every message the sign-up can show, what each one means and how to get past it.
Most messages appear on the last step, Who runs it?, under a field or just above the Create my store button (on the Free plan) or Continue to payment (on a paid plan). Messages about your store’s name, address and languages belong to the second step, Your store: see Choose a store name, address and languages. If the sign-up jumps back to that step with a field outlined in red, our servers found a problem with something you typed there.
Tip
Everything you have typed stays in the form while the tab is open, whatever the message. Fix the one thing it names and press the button again.
The plans could not be loaded
On the first step, Plan, you may see We could not load the plans just now. Refresh the page and try again. when you press Continue.
It means the page could not fetch the current plans from our servers, so it is showing a saved copy that cannot be used to create a store. Your choice of plan is kept in the page address, so nothing is lost.
- Check that you are online.
- Refresh the page.
- Press Continue again.
If the message stays after a few minutes, our servers may be busy. Try again a little later, or write to us (opens in a new tab).
A missing name, or an email without its @
The last step asks who owns the store. All three fields are required.
| Field | What it needs | Message when it is wrong |
|---|---|---|
| First name | Any name. Required. | Fill this in. |
| Last name | Any name. Required. | Fill this in. |
| An address you can open now, with an @ and something on both sides of it. Required. | That does not look like an email address. |
When you press the button with a field empty or wrong, the sign-up outlines that field in red, writes the message under it and puts your cursor in it. The message goes as soon as you start typing.
Your set-password link goes to this email, so check it letter by letter. A mistyped address that still has an @ passes this check, and the link then goes nowhere. You can still correct it from the console: the banner at the top has Wrong address?. On a paid plan you reach the console after paying, and on Free with Go to the console on the page that ends the sign-up. If you are not signed in, write to us. See Confirm your email and fix a wrong address.
That email already has a store
That email already has a store. under the Email field means the address is already in use on NoqtaShop: it belongs to the owner or a staff member of a store, or it is a store’s contact email. One email opens one account. An address that is only a customer account on someone’s storefront does not count and can be used.
What to do depends on whose account it is:
- It is your store. Sign in instead. See Sign in to the console, and if you no longer know your password, Reset a forgotten password.
- You started a sign-up earlier and never finished. Your store is already saved. Look for the email that creates your password, explained in Create your password from the email.
- You work in someone else’s store with this address. Use a different email for your own store.
The same rule applies to a Google sign-up: a Google address that already has a store cannot open a second one. For now no message says so: if you continued with Google and pressing the button does nothing, the Google address already has a store. Sign in with Google instead, as Sign in to the console explains.
Temporary inboxes are refused
Use an email address you will keep. A temporary inbox cannot receive the link you need before your store can open. means the address belongs to a throwaway email service, such as Mailinator, YOPmail or 10 Minute Mail.
Your store depends on this address. The link that creates your password goes there, and so do your new order alerts, billing notices and our replies to you. Type an address you will still have next year, such as your work email or a personal Gmail or Outlook address, and press the button again.
Too many attempts in a short time
That is a lot of attempts in a short time. Wait a few minutes and try again. appears above the button.
To keep automated sign-ups out, we accept 10 attempts from one internet connection in 10 minutes. Every press that reaches our servers counts, though a press stopped by a red message under a field sends nothing. Everyone on the same network shares the allowance, so a shared office or café connection reaches it faster. It also covers what follows a sign-up on that connection: the check when you return from paying, Send it again and creating your password. The message can also appear briefly when our servers are very busy.
- Leave the tab open, so the form keeps what you typed.
- Wait up to 10 minutes.
- Press the button again.
The browser check did not pass
We could not confirm this sign-up came from your browser. Try again. appears above the button.
When you press the button, your browser solves a small puzzle in the background, which takes about a second. It proves a person is signing up and not a script, and you never see it. The message means the check did not pass.
- Press the button again. Each press runs a new check.
- If the message comes back, turn off browser extensions that fill in forms automatically, then try again.
- If it still fails, open noqtashop.com in a private window or another up-to-date browser and sign up there.
Our servers could not be reached
We could not reach our servers. Check your connection and try again. means no answer came back.
The connection may have dropped, or a VPN, firewall or ad blocker may have stopped the request. Check your connection, turn off anything that blocks requests on noqtashop.com, and press the button again.
Note
If the connection dropped at the very moment you pressed the button, your store may have been created anyway. If the set-password email arrives, or pressing again sends you back to Your store with That address is taken. Try another. on the address you just chose, your store exists. Do not choose a new address: follow Create your password from the email.
The store could not be created, or could not be set up yet
Two messages mean the problem is on our side, not in what you typed.
We could not create your store. Nothing has been charged — try again. covers any other failure. No payment was taken, so you can press the button again straight away. If the sign-up then sends you back to Your store with That address is taken. Try another. on the address you just chose, or says That email already has a store., your store was saved after all. Do not choose a new address: look for the email that creates your password.
We could not set up your store yet. Talk to us and we will sort it out. means our platform could not prepare a new store at that moment. Trying again will not help until we fix it. Write to us (opens in a new tab) with the email you used and the address you chose, and we will set it right.
On a paid plan, the sign-up can also end on Your store is created — payment is not. Your store was saved and nothing was charged, but the payment page could not open. See Pay for your plan at sign-up.
Enterprise: we set it up with you
The Enterprise plan is arranged with our team, with its own contract terms, and cannot be bought online. On the pricing page its button is Talk to us, which opens our contact form with Enterprise already chosen as the topic.
If you see Our team sets this plan up with you directly. with a Talk to us link after it, the plan you chose is now arranged by our team. Press Talk to us and tell us about your store, or go back to the pricing page and choose another plan.
Google sign-in did not finish
If you chose Continue with Google, a page headed Google sign-in did not finish can appear with one of three messages, and a Back to sign-up button:
- You closed the Google sign-in before it finished. You closed or cancelled Google’s window. Press Back to sign-up and choose Google again.
- This sign-in did not start here. Start again. The Google sign-in was started in another tab or browser. Press Back to sign-up and start again from the same tab.
- We could not complete your Google sign-in. Try again, or sign up with your email. Google answered but we could not finish. Try once more, or type your name and email instead.
Back to sign-up starts again at the Plan step on the Free plan, and the store name and address you typed are cleared. If you wanted a paid plan, press Choose a different plan on that step, which opens the pricing page, and choose it again. Then retype the name and address.
For how the Google sign-up works from start to finish, see Sign up with your Google account.
What to do next
Every step of the sign-up is in Create your store. Once the sign-up goes through, follow Pay for your plan at sign-up if you chose a paid plan, then Create your password from the email. If a message here did not match what you see, write to us (opens in a new tab) and tell us the exact words on your screen.
