Create your store

The three sign-up steps on noqtashop.com — your plan, your store and you — and what happens after “Continue to payment” or, on Free, “Create my store”.

Last updated

Signing up for NoqtaShop takes three short steps on noqtashop.com: your plan, your store and you. This article walks through each step, explains every message the page can show, and says what happens when you press the last button.

Before you start

Have these ready:

  • An email address you can open now. We send the link that sets your password and confirms your email to this address, and the link works for 24 hours. A temporary or throwaway inbox is refused.
  • A card, if you choose a paid plan. Payment happens on Stripe’s secure page straight after sign-up. Starter and Growth begin with a 14-day free trial: Stripe saves your card and nothing is charged until the trial ends. Business has no trial and is charged on the day. The Free plan needs no card at all.
  • A name and an address for your store. You can change the name later. The address — yourstore.noqtashop.com — is permanent, so it is worth a moment’s thought.

You can also skip the password and sign up with your Google account. See Sign up with your Google account.

Sign-up asks for nothing else. There is no currency, phone number, logo or design to choose yet:

  • Currency. Every new store starts in Jordanian dinars (JOD). If you sell in another currency, change it in the console before you add prices: see Currency. Your NoqtaShop plan is still billed in US dollars.
  • Time zone. It is taken from your browser. If your browser does not say, the store starts on UTC. You can change it later under Settings › Localization › Timezone.
  • Phone number, logo and design. The setup list in the console asks for your phone number and logo later, and you design your storefront in the Storefront Studio.

The three steps, and the summary beside them

Sign-up always starts from the pricing page, so you arrive with a plan already chosen.

  1. On noqtashop.com, select Pricing in the top bar, or Create your store in the top corner.
  2. Above the plan cards, choose Monthly or Yearly.
  3. On the plan you want, select Start free (Free), Start free trial (Starter or Growth) or Choose plan (Business).
The whole sign-up on a paid plan: Growth chosen on the pricing page, the store named, the owner’s details typed, and on to the payment page.

The sign-up page has two halves:

  • The form, on the right in English (on the left in Arabic). A track across the top shows the three steps: Plan, Your store and You. A step you have finished becomes a link you can select to go back to it; you cannot jump ahead. Back at the bottom of steps 2 and 3 also goes back one step, and keeps what you typed. Under the form, Need help? Create your store opens this article in a new tab, so you do not lose what you have typed.
  • Your store, taking shape. A picture of your future storefront that fills in as you type: your store name and its first letter as a logo, your address in the address bar, and a language switch when you sell in two languages. It is a picture of the design only: your real storefront stays behind an Opening soon page until you first publish it.

Under the picture, a summary repeats your choices: Plan, Store, Languages and Owner, then two lines about money. Today is what leaves your card today, and Then is what you pay after that.

Tip

Nothing is saved until you press the last button. If you refresh or close the page part-way, sign-up starts again from step 1 and your typing is lost, so keep the tab open until you finish.

Step 1: confirm your plan or choose another

Step 1 is headed Your plan. It shows the plan you chose as a card: its name and one-line description, the price in US dollars with an estimate in Jordanian dinars, and three lines that sum the plan up. On Starter and Growth a line under the price spells out the trial: 14 days on your first free trial. You need a card to start; we charge nothing until the trial ends. On Free, the price reads $0 and No card needed.

  1. Check that the plan and the price are the ones you want.
  2. If not, select Choose a different plan. The pricing page opens, and you choose again there.
  3. Select Continue.
Step 1 on Growth, monthly. The trial line under the price says the card is needed but nothing is charged until the trial ends.

The Today and Then lines follow the plan:

PlanTodayThen
Free$0Nothing. Free forever.
Starter$0$19 a month (≈ 13.47 JOD), after the 14-day trial
Growth$0$35 a month (≈ 24.81 JOD), after the 14-day trial
Business$79$79 a month (≈ 56.01 JOD)

On Starter and Growth, a line under Today adds On your first free trial. Stripe shows the exact amount before you pay. A free trial is one per person and per card. If your email has had a NoqtaShop trial before, Stripe’s page charges the plan’s price today; if your card has, the trial is cancelled before anything is charged. See How the free trial works.

Starter, monthly: your own domain, discount codes, and AI writing and translation, with the same 14-day trial.
Business has no trial, so there is no trial line and the summary shows $79 under Today.

If the plans cannot load, step 1 shows We could not load the plans just now. Refresh the page and try again. Refresh the page; if it keeps happening, come back in a few minutes.

Monthly or yearly billing

Step 1 has no switch for the billing cycle. It uses the one you chose on the pricing page, and the summary’s Plan line names it, for example Growth · monthly.

To change it:

  1. On step 1, select Choose a different plan.
  2. At the top of the plans, select Monthly or Yearly.
  3. Select your plan’s button again. Sign-up reopens at step 1 with the new cycle.

Yearly billing takes one payment for the whole year, and costs less than twelve monthly payments. The card shows the yearly price divided by twelve, marked per month, billed yearly.

PlanMonthlyYearlyPer month, billed yearlyYou save in a year
Starter$19$180 (≈ 127.62 JOD)$15$48
Growth$35$336 (≈ 238.22 JOD)$28$84
Business$79$756 (≈ 536.00 JOD)$63$192
Growth, yearly: $28 a month on the card, $336 once a year on the summary’s Then line.
Starter, yearly. The trial still comes first, so Today stays at $0.
Business, yearly: the whole year, $756, is charged today.

Plans are billed in US dollars. The dinar figures are an estimate at the fixed rate of 0.709, and your bank may add its own currency fee. Every plan, limit and feature is compared in Plans and what each includes.

Step 2: your store’s name, address and languages

Step 2 is headed Name it, and pick its languages. It asks for three things.

  1. In Store name, type the name your customers will see. It needs at least three characters.
  2. In Store address, check the address we suggest from the name, or type your own. It uses lower-case English letters, numbers and hyphens, and it cannot be changed later.
  3. Under Languages, select Arabic, English or Both. The Free plan sells in one language.
  4. Select Continue.

The page checks the name and the address while you type: a green tick means it is free, and a red cross means another store has it. Every rule, check and message on this step is in Choose a store name, address and languages.

Step 3: your name and email, product news and the terms

Step 3 is headed Who runs it? It is about you, the store owner.

Above the fields, Continue with Google fills in your name and email from your Google account instead — see Sign up with your Google account.

  1. Type your First name and Last name.
  2. Type your Email.
  3. If you want our product news, tick Send me product news and tips, a few emails a month.
  4. Read the line under the button: By creating your store you agree to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. Both links open in a new tab, so you do not lose what you typed.
Step 3 on a paid plan. There is no tick box for the terms: pressing the button is your agreement.
Step 3 filled in. The summary on the left now shows the owner’s name.

There is no tick box for the terms. When you press the button, we record which version of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy you were shown, and when.

Continue to payment, or Create my store on Free

The last button depends on your plan: Continue to payment on Starter, Growth and Business, and Create my store on Free.

  1. Select Continue to payment or Create my store.

While we create your store, the button reads Creating your store…. It takes a second or two: the page also runs a quick automatic check that the sign-up comes from a real browser.

Creating your store… — wait for it, and do not press the button again.

What happens next:

  • On a paid plan, the page says Taking you to our payment page… and opens Stripe’s secure payment page. See Pay for your plan at sign-up.
  • On Free, we email you the link that sets your password, and Go to the console on the page takes you straight in. See Start a free store.
  • With Google, there is no password to set and no email to wait for. On Free, Go to the console takes you straight in; on a paid plan you still pay on Stripe’s page first. See Sign up with your Google account.

However you sign up, your new store is not public yet. Customers see an Opening soon page until you publish it for the first time from the Storefront Studio, once your setup list is done. After an email sign-up, publishing also waits until you have used the link we emailed you. See Your store’s first publish.

Note

Your store is created when you press the button, before any payment. If you then cancel on the payment page, your store and its address stay saved, and you can pay later from inside the console. Set your password from the email soon: a paid-plan store whose password is never set and whose plan is never paid is removed after 30 days, and a Free store whose password is never set and that has nothing added after 14. Its address is then released. A store signed up with Google is not removed this way.

If something stops the sign-up, a message appears above the button. If it is about your store’s name, address or languages, the page takes you back to step 2 and puts the cursor in the field to fix.
